lets see...

last saturday a cousin of mine celebrated her birthday with her mom, best friend, and me. we had a huge lunch feast, not that huge actually; nevertheless, i was stuffed ^^v!! later that night, we -- my cousin with her mom and me -- went to theatres on bay, esplanade, to watch the sound of music. fyi, esplanade was first nicknamed the papayas, later nicknamed the durian because of prominent spiky sunshade curtain adorning the two glass domes of the complex.

before went to esplanade, we went to suntec city mall, shopping for a while (no, i didn't buy anything), and had dinner at japanese restaurant, tonkichi (i think). i had tonkatsu (breaded deep-fried pork cutlet). at first, i wanted to eat sushi there, but the amount of sushi was too small for me. i decided to look for another cuisine and the picture of tonkatsu in the menu got my attention (*drooling* ). never had tonkatsu before, it looked delicious, and bigger amount than sushi with the same price; thus, i decided to try tonkatsu. it was indeed delicious!! (yummy..., may i say: two thumbs up? ^^).

lets talk about the sound of music now ^^. we sat at the third balcony and our seats were somewhat at the center in the second row (if i'm not mistaken). when maria (don't ask me the actress name, have no clue ^^') sang the prelude, the sound of music (click the link for the lyric, no guarantee it's the correct version tho ^^'), i think she had a voice break (or maybe just out of breath) when sang the first "the sound of music"...erm...words ^^', and that was the only glitch i noticed. at least i know that there was no lip-synching (or was there?!?...hmmm...). speaking of lip-synching, remember ashlee simpson incident at saturday night live (snl)? i didn't have a tv back then so didn't watch it (i miss snl T_T), but i found the video (click here), poor ashlee. anyway, lets go back to the sound of music. the story/plot was a little bit different compare to the movie. maybe because of the cramped stage or it is the original story from the broadway musical. if you'd like more information on the sound of music (in general), click here (what can i say, i love wikipedia ^^v). in the end, i recommend you all to watch.

before we went back home, we ate at max brenner chocolate bar (hmmm...chocoolaaateee...) in esplanade mall. they try to make everything out of chocolate. i just had an ice cream...yummy.... for the location and information on this bar, click here please. and now, just small updates on me.

from saturday to monday, i had problems with jobsdb (my fav online recruitment network ^^v), such as, display incorrectly and always asking me to login even though i already logged in.

please buy nirmala...erm...magazine 04/april/2005 edition. there is an article featuring (drum roll please), my mom (ta-dah~ ^^v), on page 74-77. the article talks about my mom's struggle before, during, and after breast cancer chemotherapy. also, her alternative healing method after the chemotherapy, zhen qi meditation (don't ask me the details please ^^').

i'm planning to go to imagereel 2005 at national youth park on 14 & 15 may 2005. poke here for more details ^^.

it's already been a week from my last interviews. i didn't get any reply from ibm, i guess they don't want me T_T. for nyp, they said they need another week to decide whether or not to accept me.

i have one annoying mouth ulcer, hope it'll be gone soon.

still haven't figured out how to stop overheating problem on my laptop since i moved here. i think i have to mess around with its gpu and memory speed. the customer service representative was not helpful at all. i already told him that i followed the instructions in all the articles in their knowledge base regarding overheat problem (i included the knowledge base ids), but he replied with copy and paste all the articles that i had seen before. make me wonder if he read my email or just looked at the subject and replied immediately.

some of you ask me to post pictures on my blog. well, would you like to donate a camera (prefer digital) for me? or a handphone with a camera (moblog...here i come!!!)? ^^.
